Information About CSSCR
The Center for Social Science Computation and Research is a multi-college computer support
organization. We were formed in 1972 as an alternative to the existing campus
computing resources. CSSCR is a discipline specific computing center serving ten member
departments in three Colleges. We serve all students, faculty and staff of the
UW. Our member departments are:

Facilties
CSSCR has four labs:
- Room 118 Savery Hall has 14 computers, three silde/negative
scanners and three flatbed scanners. It is a drop-in facility and never
reserved for classes.
- Room 121 is a classroom/lab which seats 20 plus
instructor. It has high-end computers, wide-angle projector, audio/visual
equipment and class management software. It may be reserved for classes by CSSCR member departments and is used as drop-in space at other times.
- Room 117 is a classroom/lab which seats 40 plus
instructor. It has high-end computers, wide-angle projector, audio/visual
equipment and class management software. It may be reserved for classes by CSSCR member departments and is used as drop-in space at other times.
- Room 120 is our secure data room. It has two computer
used in working with data that has special licensing. There is also a hydraulic ADA workstation.
CSSCR Consulting is available in room 119 Savery Hall.
Our Director, Fiscal Specialist, Archivist/Research Data Analyst and
Publishing Consultant are available in the main office, 110 Savery .
